World Snowman Day

Today is World Snowman Day! It is not snowmen snow right now but it might be today.

Last week Nora came over and helped us make snowmen. We had fun. She helped me make a BIG snowman. It was probably bigger then Mark! But it fell over in about an hour. We had lots of fun!

Periodic Table of the Cookies

For school I had to make a Periodic Table of the Cookies, it was fun!

We made some sugar cookies and cut them out with an doughnut hole maker, then we baked them. When they were done I frosted them with color codes. The blank cookies are elements that have been discovered but have not found enough to really prove that they found it.

We shared some and ate some. We gave our neighbors who have alpacas named after Star Wars characters Po(Potassium), and some other ones that sound like Star Wars names.

We have eaten all the cookies, and they were good! Maybe we can make some more soon.

Alpaca Shearing

Angora Goat

Yesterday, We helped our neighbors, the Beers, shear their alpacas; another family showed up with their angora goats. This year I swept the pads and brought in the alpacas. Megan took in Finn, she likes him a lot. The goats took three times as long as the alpacas.

We had fun and hope to do it next year.

  4. Stick the Nativity on the Con-Tact paper
  5. Cut the tissue paper into little pieces
  6. Stick the colored tissue paper onto the Con-Tact Nativity on just the Con-Tact paper
  7. Glue** the wax paper* onto the back of the Nativity

Corn Husk Dolls

img_5087-adrianOn Monday, Megan and I went to Science Sleuths. We had a class for corn husk dolls. I made a scarecrow with a top hat. I named him Scarecrow. I made another boy yesterday.

Megan also made one with a bonnet and one with braided arms. The girls helped with the class too. I like making corn husk dolls.

Leaf Creations

The other day we made Leaf Men. To make them you get lots of colorful leaves (get more then you think you will need), and nuts, flowers, seed pods, and more. Then you make a person or a animal or a plant or other things. Then, take a picture!

Bragging… On Momma

hitWhen we went to Gathering at Five Metals Mark saw the tomahawk throwing. He did good throwing it. Then the lady in charge asked Momma if she wanted to, and it surprised me when Momma said YES!

I would have liked to do it to, but you have to be 16.

Momma

Dino and Me!

Today we had a class about amphibians. There was a salamander named Dino. He is a Tiger salamander. Dino has yellow spots with a light yellow green belly. He can grow to be 13 inches long.

Tiger salamanders live in North America, but are harder to find in some places, like the Appalachian Mountains! Tiger salamanders live in wet places underground.

Adrian and DinoNever let  a Tiger salamanders get dry, wet your hands before holding one.  Wash your hands after holding one. you do not want a Tiger salamander germs.

A Tiger salamander acts like Mark and eats often.  Unlike Mark, they like worms, mice and insects.

I like salamanders.  I might look for some in our back woods!
