- He might see his shadow, so there will be SIX MORE weeks of winter.
- He might not see his shadow, so it will be spring soon!
- He might NOT come out. (Would that be six more weeks of winter)?
- He might have done it in the hall with the revolver! (No, that’s Clue).
- There might be no more groundhogs 🙁 (That would be awful).
Those are the conditions, let’s look at the the first one: He might see his shadow. That means six more weeks of winter.
Now we need to prevent that so lets look at what makes shadows (Thor taught me that!). Light makes shadows because light cannot bend, and groundhogs and dogs are opaque (That means light cannot pass though us! Thor taught me that too). We just need to find something to block the sun from the groundhog! If we block the sun then that brings us to the next condition.
The next condition is that the groundhog might not see his shadow. That’s no problem, let’s go on to the third one!
This condition states that he might not come out. First we need to set up something like I said at the end of condition one. Then we need him to come out, let’s use groundhog (Or dog if you have none) treats. When he comes out we can see if it is still winter or not.
The fourth condition is that he is playing a game. When he puts away the game he might come out, if he does’t come out try the third condition again.
The last condition is that all the groundhogs are dead. They have been lying to us all this time!
I do not know what what the weather will be like on groundhog day but I hope the weather is nice but I hope it is cloudy enough so there are no shadows so the groundhog will not see his shadow.
It’s too cold. I want spring!
