The Journal of Mr. Roger Mallard, 10/3/19

10/3/19 Dear journal, today when I woke up I went outside. There was flowering daffodils and it was warm.

Around ten we went to a brunch. I lost my appetite again! I mean really, what did us birds do wrong? We went to a Ethiopian church service, it was a good service. Then we hit the road.

We saw Spanish Moss. I read it is a flowering plant that lives on trees, but I don’t really believe it. The true story is this: The Spanish used to own Florida and some of the area around it. One day they captured a big super hairy monster and released it to Florida. It went around Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, and North Carolina hiding in trees and leaving fur all over the place. You can’t believe all that you read.

It was quite foggy for awhile. We drove for a few hours then stopped in Adairsville, Georgia, got some ice cream, and stopped for bed. There were more peppermints almost as big as me, and I saw my first palm tree; it did not look like hands.

It was a tiring day.
