We found this bug in the rocks in one of our raised gardens. We were about to put the first load of dirt in and we found this bug. It really isn’t a Pickle Bug, but I named it that because it is pickle green and it is long and skinny.
Do you know what it is really called? Momma said we could try to find out later. I will tell you if I find out.
On Saturday, the game was fun. At first we only had half the team. The other team had all 10 players! Then three more came in later. Two were not there at all.
The other team was good, but kept just missing the goal. If they would have made it, it probably would have been 9-10, but we won 9-2!
I have been playing soccer for 3 years and have never, ever made a goal during a game. I have tried, but either miss, or don’t kick hard enough and the ball ends up in the pit. I don’t make very many goals during practice either. I like helping make assists, but this week was different.
I was behind the players who had the ball. I sort of sneaked around them and stole the ball. Then I made a goal because we were so close to the goal! I made my first ever game goal! I was so fast, Momma could not take the picture even though she had it on multiple fast speed! But she got my big grin after!
In the evening, we first went to Buffalo Wings then we came home and we got ice cream because I made my very first goal. We had mint chocolate chip. It was a good day.
We went to Oma’s house. I played in her crab apple tree. I was climbing in it.
We had a fun game on Saturday. It was very breathtaking! The team we played against was a little bit harder, but we won 7-5!
I have not made any goals yet, but I pass it to another player and they get a goal. That is called passing. Momma said it is an assist and very important.
I have 2 new players so now we have 10 players on my team. We play very well together. I like my team!
I had my first soccer game today. We played against the Eagles.We lost it was 2 to 5. I did better thin normal. I had fun.
Soccer started again! My team is called the Rattlers. My coaches are Momma, Daddy and Mark.
I have games on Saturdays at 9:00 unless it is storming. I don’t have one over Memorial Day Weekend. The games are at Northside Nazarene Church. This week my game will be on Field 1.
Audrey’s team is called the Lady Rattlers and her game is 10:00.
On Thursday we went to the nabers haws to shear the alpacas. I went home with Momma and Megan. Win we were haf way there I saw a BIG puddle and started splashing in it.
I found a new place to play today. It was a huge mud puddle. It was a lot of fun. It is an old garden that has some grass growing in it.
In the fall we put the leaves in it. I discovered when it rains it makes a HUGE mud puddle!
I tripped into it the first time, but I liked it so started getting muddy. I would run and jump into it! Momma let me play in it for awhile before I had to come in and take a shower.
My new cousin name is Jonah. He was born April 3d, 3 days before uncle Phil’s birthday. I like him, do you?
We just finished up another batch of sugar. I ground into small, small, small, small pieces. We got 2.6 pounds this time! We are doing one more batch, and then we are done!
We learned something new about making sugar. If we stir it after the syrup stage, the sugar isn’t so good. So, DON”T stir!
I would have liked more sugar, but we have enough (maybe).
