Soccer Practice

BallI started soccer practice on Monday. My coach is Daddy. I am running, dribbling, passing and juggling so I can get better. I have 5 boys, not including me, on my team.

AdriansoccerMy games will be starting 25 April at 10:00.  I don’t have a game  Memorial Day Weekend (23 May).  I have a game every week after that until the 20th of June.  All the games are at Northside Nazarene Church in Elkhart.

Paper Animal Airplane Day

Happy P.A.A.D. (Paper Animal Airplane Day). I made most of these airplanes. Megan made the puppy dog. I made a bird but I could not find it to take a picture of it.

Today is really make up your own holiday day. Megan’s is Princess day. Audrey’s is knit a monkey day. Mark’s is 1 syllable per word day. Andrea’s is chocolate day.

Happy make up your own holiday day!

Smarties

SpilledWhen Mark came home from Swaziland, he brought us home some Nestle Smarties. Today we tried some! I don’t remember ever trying them before.

The tasted sort of like M&M’s, but not really like them. I like both of them, but Daddy prefers the Smarties!

Mark brought some other candy for us to try. But Momma is stretching them out so we don’t eat them all fast! HandfulMomma said that the candy he brought home tastes better than most candy we can get here.  I am looking forward to being able to try some.

I am also looking forward to when I can go somewhere where there is a lot of different animals.  And different chocolates that I can bring home to share 🙂

Snowfort and snowman

First fort

Snowball Attack!

Today I built a snow fort. I got tired very fast cause the snow was heavy. The snow fort started to melt after a while.

First Snowman of Year

He did not stay around long.

Andrea and I made a snow man. He was fun to make, even though he did not last very long.

Pajama Pants

Pj Momma teaches us to sew when we are about 7 or 8. Today I finished my first pair of pants. I got to pick the dinosaur material.  It was hard learning to sew, but fun. One of the hardiest parts was putting in the elastic. The easiest part was using the sewing machine on the straight stitch.

I don’t know what I want to learn to sew next.

Hugging Buffalo

BuffaloDuring Andrea’s tournament, Wild Buffalo Wings (not as good as Wings Etc) was advertising. Megan liked to go over to the Buffalo and hug him.

We had fun at the tournament! I played with my friends, drank hot chocolate and watched the games.  I really wanted Andrea to win, but she still did good with second place!

Butterfly

ButterflyandAdrianA few days ago, we set free fourteen Monarch butterflies.  Audrey is teaching me how to raise them this year.  I found at least 17 Monarch caterpillars and a bunch of eggs. Audrey is still a lot better finding them though.

I found a brown hooded owlet caterpillar. It was very pretty. I feed him food I found and then we discovered he overwinters underground.  Momma did know if he overwintered under leaves or under dirt, so we added dirt and leaves to his cage.

We woke up one day to find that he was gone! So we thought he made his cocoon. We are not positive but we think he made it by the edge of his container under the dirt.  We are waiting to see when he emerges now.

Bug night

Yesterday night was Bug Night.  Audrey had a butterfly display there. I helped with the kitchen and helped Mr. Andy with the bug games.

There was lots of bug games there. One was a wasp game that you tried to get the wasp home without killing the wasp.  If you did it right, you could make it go straight down without bumping into a rubber band to get home.

I tasted a meal worm with cheddar cheese flavor. It was ??????  I am not sure.  Maybe I would try it again.  Momma tried a chocolate covered cricket and a meal worm.  Megan ate a bug chocolate chip cookie. It was full of meal worms.  She liked it.

I hope we can go again next year!
