Paper Animal Airplane Day

Happy P.A.A.D. (Paper Animal Airplane Day). I made most of these airplanes. Megan made the puppy dog. I made a bird but I could not find it to take a picture of it.

Today is really make up your own holiday day. Megan’s is Princess day. Audrey’s is knit a monkey day. Mark’s is 1 syllable per word day. Andrea’s is chocolate day.

Happy make up your own holiday day!

Frost Bubbles

IMG_2198.AdrianbubbleToday we made frost bubbles!   It is hard because you have to keep the bubble from popping and you have to focus fast.  This is the first frost bubble that I ever took by myself! Then I came to “Audrey and Megan’s Restaurant” for hot chocolate and sliced apples.

Frost bubbles

Bubble withburst Bubble by AdrianMomma and I made frost bubbles  today. I got to take some pictures!

Momma blew some bubbles and they did not pop. I took pictures of most of them, they were very pretty.

It is easy if you don’t have mittens on and it is not a very heavy camera. A lot of my pictures were blurry because it is hard to focus.

These two are my favorite two.

The Zoo

WatchingWe went to the zoo for Mommy Camp.  It was fun! We got to do a few things different.  We went with Grandpa and Grandma.

Great Grandma couldn’t come with us, but she wanted to. So she stayed home and gave us some money. We got Megan a little stuffed animal, a little white Tiger, and she named it Snow. I got an orange tiger and I named it Tige.

Then we saw a few things and Grandma and Grandpa treated us to the train. It feels longer when you are on it then when you are watching it go and come back. The conductor said a few things, like “over there is the pond, there are frogs, toads and mallards in the zoo too.  Over there is Mrs. Mallard.” He showed us the animal hospital too.

We looked at some animals and then went for lunch.

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for coming with us!  Thank you Great Grandma for the treats!

Botanical Garden

Cranes We went to the Botanical Gardens. It was fun and we got to do a scavenger hunt. One of them was two storks on a nest. I took pictures of all the animal statues, I think.

My favorite thing was the bald eagle statue and the Japanese Bridge Garden. Under the bridge was a North American otter statue.

I think it would be fun to go back again.

If you click on the small picture, you can see a slide show of the best pictures I took.

Tommie Turtle

Tommie Turtle

At Mommy camp, we took at walk I have never been on before. Then we went to a playground. There was something surprising! While I was playing on the twirly thing. I saw something that looked like trash and Momma taking pictures of the trash. When I went to ask Momma why she was taking pictures of trash, I found she was taking pictures of a Painted Turtle.   I called her Tommie Turtle because I like that name. It looked like she was laying some eggs (or at least getting her nest ready).

Momma let me use her good camera to take this picture. It is heavy! It is easy to drop. (I didn’t though) It is very good for taking pictures, especially painted turtles. Momma made me do everything on the camera, I had to zoom in (Momma had it on automatic focus to make it easier for me), hold the camera steady and then take the picture. I took like ten pictures to get this one good one. 🙂

When we got home, Momma taught me how to start editing pictures. I got to adjust this picture to how I like it.

Feather

feather

I found this feather at Oxbow Park. We were going across a boardwalk and I was walking ahead of Momma. I took this picture because the feather was sort of fluffy and sort of smooth. It was really nice. I thought it looked neat on the boards.
